About Us

Advocates for Safer Airports in Canada is a grassroots organization dedicated to improving safety standards, emergency preparedness, and response capabilities at Canadian airports. Founded by concerned citizens, including aviation professionals, first responders, and community leaders, our mission is to push for regulatory change that ensures the highest level of safety for travelers, airport staff, and surrounding communities.

Our Vision

We envision a future where all Canadian airports meet or exceed international safety and emergency response standards, providing peace of mind to passengers and confidence to the communities they serve.

Our Goals

Advocate for compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety standards, particularly in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) staffing and equipment.

Raise awareness about gaps in airport emergency preparedness and promote public accountability for safety issues.

Collaborate with government agencies, aviation stakeholders, and local communities to drive meaningful improvements in airport safety regulations.

Our Work

Through public education, advocacy campaigns, and collaboration with policymakers, we aim to bring attention to critical safety issues. Whether it's highlighting deficiencies in ARFF services or advocating for better training and resources for first responders, we strive to make Canadian airports safer for everyone.
